Scottie Scheffler’s £1.6m mansion with private pool as he shares huge life update with wife

Scottie Scheffler spends his downtime with his family at a quietly luxurious mansion he bought for £1.6million. The PGA Tour star withdrew from the Houston Open on Tuesday as his wife, Meredith Scudder, was due to give birth to their second child.

The world No. 1 golfer had been the runner-up at Houston for the past two years and was eager to win his second title of the year ahead of the Masters next month. Scheffler will be back on the course to compete for a third Green Jacket at Augusta National two weeks from now.

The Texan’s first son, Bennett, was born in May 2024, just a few days before the PGA Championship. Scheffler, his one-year-old son and Meredith, who he married in 2020, live in a stunning yet understated mansion in the Devonshire neighbourhood of Dallas, Texas.

Despite becoming the best player in the world and reportedly boasting a net worth of over £80m, the 29-year-old has remained in the £1.6m home he purchased in 2020. His abode is upscale but not as eye-catching as one might expect from someone who has amassed such a vast fortune, indicating that Scheffler’s feet are planted firmly on the ground.

The mansion had reportedly gone up in price to £2.8m as of 2024. It spans nearly 5,000 square feet and has five bedrooms and six baths. It also boasts opulent features such as an expansive master bedroom equipped with a sitting area and his-and-hers closets.

The property extends to a vast half-acre lot outdoors, complete with a large backyard retreat that includes a stone patio, a fireplace and a rectangular swimming pool. Shade is provided by the lush surrounding trees and shrubs, creating the feeling of a private oasis.

Patio furniture and lounge chairs create an inviting space for outdoor relaxation and entertainment befitting of a world-class athlete. The pool also has a spa and waterfall feature built into the stone surrounding it.

The front of the property shows the house’s stone façade, arched front door and landscaping, along with a circular driveway for easy access. Inside, French doors let in natural light while neutral coloured walls and furniture add a rustic feel.

The dining room features navy velvet chairs around a wooden table, while the living room includes a fireplace, comfortable couches, vaulted ceilings and plenty of windows – perfect for hosting friends and family.

Moving on to the living and dining area, the space has modern furnishing and a curved walkway. The open kitchen has hardwood floors, white cabinets, stainless steel appliances and an island with bar seating.

Scheffler also has an office with hardwood floors and built-in bookshelves with French doors leading outside. The centrepiece is a large wooden desk, while a chandelier hangs above.

Along with the master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe, a master bathroom with marble countertops and other bedrooms, the mansion boasts a games room with a ceiling fan and a ping pong table.

Scheffler’s humble home reflects his decision to remain with the PGA amid LIV Golf interest, which promised the golfer even bigger riches. He said previously: “My dream was to play on the PGA Tour.

“My dream was never to maximise my financial benefits. I feel very blessed and fortunate to play golf and get paid for it, so for me, I’m not looking to go out and do anything else.”
