‘Homes smell delicious’ with Aldi’s £2.99 pastry-scented candle

Aldi shoppers are going wild over a new £2.99 ‘Parisian’ product that fragrance enthusiasts insist they ‘need’. The budget supermarket, which often sells scented candles and home decor in its ‘SpecialBuys’ range, could have a new crowd-pleaser on its hands.

Customers are loving the Hotel Collection’s ‘Le Croissant’ candle. Available for under £3 from Aldi stores, the supermarket says the new candle makes homes ‘smell like fresh pastries.’ The scent has impressed social media users, with one customer sharing that they had purchased six candles. Another fan wrote: “I am prepared to cause injuries to get one.”

The candle is part of Aldi’s new ‘Parisian Classics’ range, which includes three scents to choose from. Aldi’s product description says: “Make your home nostalgic and inviting with the delicious scent of your favourite treats.”

One option is the ‘Kir Royale’ candle. The scent is described as “bubbles and creme de cassis, with red berries and violet flower undertones.” For chocolate fans, another choice could be the ‘pain au chocolat’ candle. Aldi describes it as “a delicious pain au chocolat” scent with “sweet gourmand butter notes filled with smooth, addictive chocolate and vanilla.”

Meanwhile, social media users love the ‘Le Croissant’ candle. Describing the scent, Aldi says: “The smell of a freshly baked croissant with creamy butter baked into each layer of warm, flaky, golden pastry.”

Showcasing the candle on Instagram, @Aldispecialbuysuk wrote: “A candle that makes our home smell like freshly baked pastries? We’ll take 20.” The post gained 1.5k likes and lots of comment, reports the Mirror.

Replying to the post, one fan wrote: “Yes please!” A second keen shopper said: “Need.” Another customer agreed: “Omg I need it.” There was more praise. A viewer claimed: “I am prepared to cause injuries to get one.” Someone else replied: “Love them and got six but was hoping they would make a comeback in the white ceramic holders.”

For shoppers looking for candles to display in their homes, Aldi also sells several seasonal options that could impress customers this spring. For example, Easter fans might enjoy the supermarket’s £3.99 Egg Candle, which is also from the Hotel Collection. There are three scents available: hot chocolate, strawberry layer, and praline cream.

The product description says: “A timeless gift to fill her space with warmth.” The description adds that the candle has a burn time of approximately 43 hours.

Alternatively, spring fans might prefer the £3.99 Spring Trio Candles, which also come from Aldi’s Hotel Collection. Shoppers can choose from blue freesia or lilac bloom fragrances.
